{"data":{"id":"us-gu/10-gca-82a803","jurisdiction":"us-gu","citation":"10 GCA § 82A803","heading":"Grievance Procedure.","body":"(a) There shall be a one-step grievance procedure made available to patients on assisted outpatient treatment status.\n(b) Grievances concerning treatment may be made to the medical director of each inpatient facility.\n(c) Grievances about a patient’s treatment regimen may be brought by\n(1) the patient or on the patient’s behalf by his or her legal guardian or conservator;\n(2) his or her patient advocate;\n(3) any party at a hearing for the institution of or renewal of assisted treatment; or\n(4) his or her spouse, parent, adult child or,\n(5) if there is no relative of such degree, his or her closest living relative.\n(d) The grievance of a patient whose treating psychiatrist is the facility’s medical director shall be ruled on by a medical professional generally appointed for this purpose by the GBHWC or its designee.","path":["Title 10: Health and Safety","Division 4 - Guam Health Act","Chapter 82A: Assisted Outpatient Treatment","ARTICLE 8: SAFEGUARDS"],"source_url":"https://col.guamcourts.gov/sites/default/files/10gc082A.pdf","current_through":"P.L. 38-133 (June 4, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-27T03:08:08Z","sha256":"2f14975362cc1304031f0a138b1570b82b366f993d3cbe228fe66b14957ee49f","source_id":"us-gu","stale":false,"prev":"us-gu/10-gca-82a802","next":"us-gu/10-gca-82a804"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
