{"data":{"id":"us-gu/12-gca-9104","jurisdiction":"us-gu","citation":"12 GCA § 9104","heading":"Purpose.","body":"The purpose of the Bureau shall be:\n(a) To promote Guam’s visitor industry in such manner as it deems most reasonably appropriate, including providing and disseminating information and materials promoting Guam as a visitor destination;\n(b) To promote local interest and participation at all levels of the visitor industry;\n(c) To assist, when requested, both government and private entities in the development, implementation and promotion of programs to further education, training, employment assistance and entrepreneurial development;\n(d) To promote local cultural activities for residents;\n(e) To promote items of local manufacture;\n(f) To promote and assist in the development of adequate tourist facilities and attractions;\n(g) To assist appropriate government of Guam agencies in the enforcement of applicable laws, rules and regulations relating to the visitor industry;\n(h) To work with other entities to collect, analyze, evaluate and regularly publish comprehensive data on the visitor industry; and\n(i) To engage in all lawful activities to promote tourism reasonable or incidental thereto.","path":["Title 12: Autonomous Agencies","Division 1 - Autonomous Agencies","Chapter 9: Guam Visitors Bureau","ARTICLE 1: GENERAL PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://col.guamcourts.gov/sites/default/files/12gc009.pdf","current_through":"P.L. 38-133 (June 4, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-27T03:22:48Z","sha256":"cd958aebe8b477689d4ddff9153f9411df8c4144dfd272721ca1cf923a01a68a","source_id":"us-gu","stale":false,"prev":"us-gu/12-gca-9103","next":"us-gu/12-gca-9105"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
