{"data":{"id":"us-gu/18-gca-28108","jurisdiction":"us-gu","citation":"18 GCA § 28108","heading":"Certificate of Existence.","body":"(a) Anyone may apply to the Director of Revenue \u0026 Taxation to furnish a certificate of existence for a domestic corporation or a certificate of authorization for a foreign corporation.\n(b) A certificate of existence or authorization sets forth:\n(1) the domestic corporation’s corporate name or the foreign corporation’s corporate name;\n(2) that:\n(A) the domestic corporation is duly incorporated under the laws of Guam, the date of its incorporation, and the period of its duration if less than perpetual; or\n(B) that the foreign corporation is authorized to transact business in Guam;\n(3) that articles of dissolution have not been filed; and\n(4) other facts of record in the office of the Director of Revenue \u0026 Taxation that may be requested by the applicant.\n(c) Subject to any qualification stated in the certificate, a certificate of existence or authorization issued by the Director of Revenue \u0026 Taxation may be relied upon as conclusive evidence that the domestic or foreign corporation is in existence or is authorized to transact business in Guam.","path":["Title 18: Business Structure and Function","Division 1 - Business Structure","Part 5 - Guam Business Corporation Act","Chapter 28: Guam Business Corporation Act","ARTICLE 1: GENERAL PROVISIONS"],"source_url":"https://col.guamcourts.gov/sites/default/files/18gc028.pdf","current_through":"P.L. 38-133 (June 4, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-27T03:55:38Z","sha256":"69f7134f25e6dc9a5213956f2584ae95bc03f876360990de58c38cd596ca3a62","source_id":"us-gu","stale":false,"prev":"us-gu/18-gca-28107","next":"us-gu/18-gca-28109"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
