{"data":{"id":"us-gu/4-gca-1105","jurisdiction":"us-gu","citation":"4 GCA § 1105","heading":"Service Medals: Silver.","body":"(a) A silver medal for faithful service to the government of Guam is granted and will be known as the Twenty-Five Year Service Medal.\n(1) This medal may be granted, by the government of Guam, to any person who has faithfully served the government of Guam for a total of at least twenty-five (25) years.\n(2) Creditable service to the Naval Government of Guam in a civil capacity, or active service in the Guam Militia, shall be counted toward the time necessary to establish eligibility for this medal. Service in a federal capacity shall also be counted, provided such service has been directly in connection with the government of Guam activities.\n(b) The Twenty-Five Year Service Medal will be of silver and may be worn by its recipient on occasions of ceremony.\n(c) A Five-Year Silver Bar may be granted, by the government of Guam, for each five (5) years of service over the twenty-five (25) year basic period, provided the additional service would have been eligible to count toward original award of the medal.","path":["Title 4: Public Officers and Employees","Chapter 1: General"],"source_url":"https://col.guamcourts.gov/sites/default/files/4gc001.pdf","current_through":"P.L. 38-133 (June 4, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-27T02:13:38Z","sha256":"32424b51d88d273fcb97f1e15eeffb0a8544d4102773c9db5d2822ab67c32a6c","source_id":"us-gu","stale":false,"prev":"us-gu/4-gca-1104","next":"us-gu/4-gca-1106"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
