{"data":{"id":"us-gu/9-gca-46.506","jurisdiction":"us-gu","citation":"9 GCA § 46.506","heading":"Civil Action by Attorney General.","body":"(a) An action brought under this Subsection shall be commenced within two (2) years after the commission of the act.\n(b) The Attorney General may institute a civil action against a person who violates § 46.503 to recover a civil penalty not to exceed:\n(1) $25,000 per day of violation; or\n(2) not less than Two Dollars ($2.00) nor more than Eight Dollars ($8.00) per commercial electronic mail message initiated in violation of § 46.503.\n(3) For any violation of this Act, the amount determined under paragraph (b) may not exceed Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000).\n(c) The Attorney General may seek an injunction in a civil action to prohibit a person who has engaged in or is engaged in a violation of § 46.503 from engaging in the violation.\n(d) The Attorney General may enforce criminal violations of this Act.","path":["Title 9: Crimes and Corrections","Chapter 46: Forgery, Fraudulent Practices and Telephone Records","ARTICLE 5: COMPUTER PROTECTION ACT"],"source_url":"https://col.guamcourts.gov/sites/default/files/9gc046.pdf","current_through":"P.L. 38-133 (June 4, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-27T02:47:58Z","sha256":"ff3895a09f8ab57d9aaee1a1702fbb2054b4840d4818d55b653c593a9e6bbccc","source_id":"us-gu","stale":false,"prev":"us-gu/9-gca-46.505","next":"us-gu/9-gca-46.507"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
