{"data":{"id":"us-gu/9-gca-90.208","jurisdiction":"us-gu","citation":"9 GCA § 90.208","heading":"Same: Eligibility and Oath.","body":"(a) No person shall be a volunteer member of the CCRP established under this Article who advocates a change by force or violence in the constitutional form of the Government of the United States or of Guam, or the overthrow of any government in the United States by force, or who has been convicted of or is under indictment or information charging any subversive act against the United States.\n(b) Every volunteer shall, entering upon his duties, take an oath, in writing, before a person authorized to administer oaths in Guam, which oath shall be substantially as follows:\n“I _____________________, do solemnly swear (or\naffirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of\nthe United States and the laws of Guam, against all\nenemies, foreign or domestic; that I will bear true faith\nand allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation\nfreely, without any mental reservation or purpose of\nevasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the\nduties upon which I am about to enter and I do further\nswear (or affirm) that I do not advocate, nor am I a\nmember of any political party or organization that\nadvocates the overthrow of the Government of the\nUnited States or of Guam by force or violence; and that\nduring such time as I am a member of the Civilian\nCorrections Reserve Program I will not advocate nor\nbecome a member of any political party or organization\nthat advocates the overthrow of the Government of the\nUnited States or Guam by force or violence.”","path":["Title 9: Crimes and Corrections","Chapter 90: Corrections","ARTICLE 6: CIVILLIAN CORRECTIONS RESERVE PROGRAM"],"source_url":"https://col.guamcourts.gov/sites/default/files/9gc090.pdf","current_through":"P.L. 38-133 (June 4, 2026)","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-27T02:51:48Z","sha256":"5c36afa77a34a168237c2e30ef90c70a78b1604722629aada24cf0e59609ae4b","source_id":"us-gu","stale":false,"prev":"us-gu/9-gca-90.207","next":"us-gu/9-gca-90.209"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
