Stat. § 132-44","heading":"State fire marshal; biennial report; deadline; contents.","body":"(a) Beginning with the regular session of 2027, no later than twenty days before the convening in each odd-numbered year of a regular session, the office shall submit to the legislature a report regarding the activities of the state fire marshal and the counties in implementing this chapter.\n\n(b) The report shall include, at a minimum:\n\n(1) A status report concerning:\n\n(A) Community risk reduction; and\n\n(B) The establishment, administration, and enforcement of defensible space requirements;\n\n(2) The amount of moneys expended during the previous fiscal biennium for:\n\n(A) Community risk reduction;\n\n(B) The establishment, administration, and enforcement of defensible space requirements; and\n\n(C) Fire suppression; and\n\n(3) Any recommendations for the state fire marshal for legislative action, including but not limited to current or future resource and funding needs for:\n\n(A) Community risk reduction; and\n\n(B) The establishment, administration, and enforcement of defensible space requirements.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 10","Chapter 132"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol03_Ch0121-0200D/HRS0132/HRS_0132-0044.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"9c6ccdbd2fc773eb6c123bd47c87e021d37064cecccc80169304fdc4429748f5","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-132-43","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-132-45"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
