Stat. § 188F-4","heading":"West Hawaii regional fishery management area plan.","body":"The department shall develop a West Hawaii regional fishery management area plan that identifies and designates appropriate areas of the management area as follows:\n\n(1) Designates a minimum of thirty per cent of coastal waters in the West Hawaii regional fishery management area as fish replenishment areas in which aquarium fish collection is prohibited;\n\n(2) Establishes a day-use mooring buoy system along the coastline of the West Hawaii regional fishery management area and designates some high-use areas where no anchoring is allowed;\n\n(3) Establishes a portion of the fish replenishment areas as fish reserves where no fishing of reef-dwelling fish is allowed; and\n\n(4) Designates areas where the use of gill nets as set nets shall be prohibited.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 12","Chapter 188F"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol03_Ch0121-0200D/HRS0188F/HRS_0188F-0004.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"71bb389f539131293fec42272d3761aa8b5d2f16c2ba876bbd90fae96dc4d6b2","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-188f-3","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-188f-5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
