Stat. § 201H-8","heading":"Housing counseling.","body":"The corporation may provide the following services for the programs it administers:\n\n(1) Listing and referral services to tenants seeking to rent homes;\n\n(2) Counseling to tenants on matters such as financial management and budgeting, basic housekeeping, communicating effectively and getting along with others, and other matters as may be desirable or necessary;\n\n(3) Counseling to prospective homeowners on the rudiments of owning a home;\n\n(4) Assistance to any person or government agency regarding the nature and availability of federal assistance for housing development and community development or redevelopment;\n\n(5) Counseling and guidance services to aid: any person or government agency in securing the financial aid or cooperation of the federal government in undertaking, constructing, maintaining, operating, or financing any housing designated for elders; persons displaced by governmental action; university and college students and faculty; and any other persons; and\n\n(6) Assistance to a county agency upon request from the agency in the development of programs to correct or eliminate blight and deterioration and to effect community development.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 13","Chapter 201H"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol04_Ch0201-0257/HRS0201H/HRS_0201H-0008.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"53ff15ac38bc09ea54be7d3395fa2cace11165e8630dab177498deec2c1404c0","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-201h-79","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-201h-80"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
