Stat. § 269-106","heading":"Billing periods; twelve-month reconciliation.","body":"(a) Billing of net energy metering customers shall be on a monthly basis; provided that the last monthly bill for each twelve-month period shall reconcile for that twelve-month period the net electricity provided by the electric utility with:\n\n(1) The electricity generated by the eligible customer-generator and fed back to the electric grid over the monthly billing period; and\n\n(2) Any unused credits for excess electricity from the eligible customer-generator carried over from prior months since the last twelve-month reconciliation period.\n\n(b) Credits for excess electricity from the eligible customer-generator that remain unused after each twelve-month reconciliation period may not be carried over to the next twelve-month period.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 15","Chapter 269"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol05_Ch0261-0319/HRS0269/HRS_0269-0106.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"a5c718a20ef85c2ef46fab9aab3a9ee579f30493570c4913986409bace6bb3cb","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-269-105","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-269-107"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
