Stat. § 286-121","heading":"Suspending or revoking privileges of nonresident and reporting convictions, suspensions, and revocations.","body":"(a) The privilege of driving a motor vehicle on the highways of this State given to a nonresident hereunder shall be subject to suspension or revocation in like manner and for like cause as a driver's license issued hereunder may be suspended or revoked.\n\n(b) The examiner of drivers is further authorized, upon receiving a record of the conviction in this State of a nonresident for any motor vehicle offense, to forward a certified copy of such record to the motor vehicle administrator in the state wherein the person so convicted is a resident.\n\n(c) When a nonresident's operating privilege is suspended or revoked, the examiner of drivers shall forward a certified copy of the record of such action to the motor vehicle administrator in the state wherein such person resides.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 17","Chapter 286"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol05_Ch0261-0319/HRS0286/HRS_0286-0121.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"96a8358167ae6c6f775f7a4c3cf3781948fdc40ddcb297ffd5ca4f7c4fc58192","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-286-120","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-286-122"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
