Stat. § 291E-45","heading":"Eligibility for relicensing and reregistration of motor vehicle.","body":"(a) To be eligible for relicensing or renewing the privilege to operate a vessel after a period of administrative revocation has expired, the person shall:\n\n(1) Submit proof to the director of compliance with all conditions imposed by the director;\n\n(2) Obtain a certified statement from the director indicating eligibility for relicensing and for renewing the privilege to operate a vessel;\n\n(3) Present the certified statement to the appropriate licensing official or to the department of land and natural resources, as applicable; and\n\n(4) Successfully complete each requirement, including payment of all applicable fees, for:\n\n(A) Obtaining a new license in this State, pursuant to chapter 286; or\n\n(B) Renewing the privilege to operate a vessel, as may be provided in chapter 200 or rules adopted by the department of land and natural resources pursuant to section 200‑24.\n\n(b) To be eligible for reregistration of a motor vehicle, if applicable, after a period of administrative revocation has expired, the person shall:\n\n(1) Submit proof to the director of compliance with all conditions imposed by the director;\n\n(2) Obtain a certified statement from the director indicating eligibility for registration of a motor vehicle;\n\n(3) Present the certified statement to the director of the appropriate county agency; and\n\n(4) Successfully complete each requirement, as provided in chapter 286, for obtaining a new certificate of registration for a motor vehicle in this State, including payment of all applicable fees.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 17","Chapter 291E"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol05_Ch0261-0319/HRS0291E/HRS_0291E-0045.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"1cee761cf876d0095bb269682796b8632f05a81bf36b00a19935832881062e78","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-291e-44.5","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-291e-45.5"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
