Stat. § 304A-1705","heading":"Council powers.","body":"The medical education council may:\n\n(1) Conduct surveys, with the assistance of the department of health and the department of commerce and consumer affairs, to assess and meet changing market and education needs;\n\n(2) Appoint advisory committees of broad representation on interdisciplinary clinical education, workforce mix planning and projections, funding mechanisms, and other topics as is necessary;\n\n(3) Use federal moneys for necessary administrative expenses to carry out its duties and powers as permitted by federal law;\n\n(4) Distribute program moneys in accordance with this subpart; provided that any expenditures authorized shall be for a public purpose and shall not be subject to chapters 42F, 103, 103D, and 103F;\n\n(5) Hire employees not subject to chapters 76 and 89 necessary to carry out its duties under this subpart; and\n\n(6) Adopt rules in accordance with chapter 91, necessary to carry out the purposes of this subpart.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 18","Chapter 304A"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol05_Ch0261-0319/HRS0304A/HRS_0304A-1705.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"88895117dcd286bc79055a9a5551ab4e8b258d35dcaf466d9e1df3bc1f0bfef6","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-304a-1704","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-304a-1752"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
