Stat. § 309H-1","heading":"Definitions.","body":"As used in this chapter, unless the context requires otherwise:\n\n\"Loan repayment\" or \"repayment of loan\" means the payment of up to twenty per cent of a Hawaii health corps program participant's health care training costs including but not limited to tuition not exceeding $35,000 per year for a maximum of five years of repayment.\n\n\"Nurse practitioner\" means a person licensed as an advanced practice registered nurse under chapter 457.\n\n\"Physician\" means a person licensed to practice medicine and surgery, as required by section 453-2.\n\n\"Physician assistant\" means a person licensed to practice medicine under the supervision of a physician or osteopathic physician, as required by section 453-5.3.\n\n\"Residency\" means a physician or nurse practitioner participating in an accredited program of post graduate study.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 18","Chapter 309H"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol05_Ch0261-0319/HRS0309H/HRS_0309H-0001.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"ff1a60d8cc25039364594ba3de6480f9897cb65d0da38f28af938b88c03587ae","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-309h","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-309h-2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
