Stat. § 326-25.5","heading":"Annual report.","body":"[See Note below.] The department of health shall submit a report to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of each regular session that addresses the following with regard to Kalaupapa Settlement:\n\n(1) The department's provision of medical and basic living needs of the patients;\n\n(2) The department's progress toward defining and addressing the nonmedical needs of patients;\n\n(3) The department's progress toward promoting a positive living environment;\n\n(4) The department's management of state resources, including benefits given to employees that are not statutorily defined;\n\n(5) The department's progress toward establishing written policies and procedures for Kalaupapa store;\n\n(6) The department's progress toward establishing and maintaining a complaint file and adequately addressing complaints;\n\n(7) The performance of the administrator, including compliance with job duties;\n\n(8) The department's progress toward adequate accountability of state property;\n\n(9) Details and justification of approved employee air travel requests and trail pay;\n\n(10) Details and updated information, as available, regarding the permanent transfer to other governmental or qualified non-governmental entities of the powers and duties of the department and any other state agency over Kalaupapa Settlement; and\n\n(11) Details including efforts of engagement by the department with Molokai community groups, including the addition of Ka Ohana O Kalaupapa and a non-governmental organization from the non-peninsular area of Molokai to be selected by the department in consultation with the non-peninsular area of the Molokai community.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 19","Chapter 326"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol06_Ch0321-0344/HRS0326/HRS_0326-0025_0005.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"6f2bd41fdeb8e523d03372d13aff5d6b17b70ade5533dc88207e1b1ab33c30b6","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-326-25","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-326-26"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
