Stat. § 329D-24.5","heading":"Cannabis cultivator; license required.","body":"[Section effective January 1, 2028.] (a) Notwithstanding section 329D-24, it shall be unlawful for any person to cultivate cannabis without a license issued by the department pursuant to this section.\n\n(b) A cannabis cultivator license shall authorize the licensee to:\n\n(1) Acquire and cultivate cannabis plants, seeds, cuttings, or clones; and\n\n(2) Distribute cannabis plants and cannabis flower to a medical cannabis dispensary.\n\n(c) The department shall issue no more than one cannabis cultivator license for each person.\n\n(d) A person issued a cannabis cultivator license under this section shall meet all production facility and processing requirements of this chapter.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 19","Chapter 329D"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol06_Ch0321-0344/HRS0329D/HRS_0329D-0024_0005.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"1c355cb7052310f85d1d37d75fb26d0c7712ac82f44a00fb79954a2d68e22ccf","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-329d-24","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-329d-25"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
