Stat. § 340E-9","heading":"Administration.","body":"The director may:\n\n(1) Perform any and all acts necessary to carry out the purposes and requirements of this chapter;\n\n(2) Administer and enforce the provisions of this chapter and all rules, regulations, and orders promulgated;\n\n(3) Enter into agreements, contracts, or cooperative arrangements with any person;\n\n(4) Receive financial and technical assistance from the federal government and other public or private agencies;\n\n(5) Participate in related programs of any public or private agencies or organizations;\n\n(6) Establish adequate fiscal controls and accounting procedures to assure proper disbursement of an accounting for funds appropriated or received for the purpose of carrying out this chapter;\n\n(7) Delegate those responsibilities and duties as appropriate for the purpose of administering the requirements of this chapter;\n\n(8) Establish and collect fees for conducting plan reviews, inspections and laboratory analyses as necessary; and\n\n(9) Prescribe such regulations as necessary to carry out the director's function under this chapter.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 19","Chapter 340E"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol06_Ch0321-0344/HRS0340E/HRS_0340E-0009.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"a6cdb5d365bf5270724f2b2ed9cf61ee174baba85c48011395657e8ef9f9fb68","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-340e-8","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-340f-1"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
