Stat. § 347-12.5","heading":"Randolph-Sheppard revolving account.","body":"(a) There is established within the state treasury the Randolph-Sheppard revolving account. The revolving account shall be used by the department of human services for:\n\n(1) The provision of the following benefits for blind vendors:\n\n(A) A retirement or pension plan;\n\n(B) Health insurance; and\n\n(C) Sick and vacation leave;\n\n(2) The maintenance and replacement of equipment used in the blind vending program;\n\n(3) The purchase of new equipment to be used in the blind vending program; and\n\n(4) The provision of management services, which shall include, but not be limited to:\n\n(A) The hiring of consultants;\n\n(B) The sponsoring of training seminars;\n\n(C) Transportation;\n\n(D) Per diem for vendors to attend meetings of the state committee of blind vendors;\n\n(E) Services for the state committee of blind vendors; and\n\n(F) Other costs related to the blind vending program.\n\n(b) Income from vending machines on federal, state, and county properties that are within reasonable proximity to, and in direct competition with, a blind vendor may be deposited into the account and then disbursed to the blind vendor.\n\n(c) The revolving account shall consist of funds derived from:\n\n(1) Vending machine income generated by federal, state, and county operations;\n\n(2) Any other legally accepted source of income; and\n\n(3) Donations.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 20","Chapter 347"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol07_Ch0346-0398/HRS0347/HRS_0347-0012_0005.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"7b685b8debcf490e83c59e996eee5a35f431f74ab6a97d5441b7a5eceb0b6426","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-347-12","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-347-13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
