Stat. § 351-33","heading":"Award of compensation.","body":"The commission may order the payment of compensation under this part for:\n\n(1) Expenses actually and reasonably incurred during the period of the injury or death of the victim;\n\n(2) Loss to the victim of earning power as a result of total or partial incapacity;\n\n(3) Pecuniary loss to the dependents of the deceased victim;\n\n(4) Pain and suffering to the victim;\n\n(5) Any other pecuniary loss directly resulting from the injury or death of the victim that the commission determines to be reasonable and proper;\n\n(6) Expenses actually and reasonably incurred for mental health services in the case of a mass casualty incident;\n\n(7) Expenses actually and reasonably incurred for mental health services to or for the benefit of the surviving relatives in the case of a deceased victim; and\n\n(8) Expenses actually and reasonably incurred for mental health services for a child witness in the case of a crime of abuse of family or household member.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 20","Chapter 351"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol07_Ch0346-0398/HRS0351/HRS_0351-0033.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"b6c342334f26dcf87bb53f5c3fb0ef46a5d3c08da7fe479fdd720487589c30fb","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-351-32","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-351-35"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
