Stat. § 431:14-107.1","heading":"Rating and advisory organizations, permitted activity.","body":"In addition to other activities not expressly prohibited by this article, rating organizations and advisory organizations are authorized, on behalf of their members and subscribers, to:\n\n(1) Develop statistical plans including territorial and class definitions;\n\n(2) Collect statistical data from members, subscribers, or any other source;\n\n(3) Prepare and distribute prospective loss costs;\n\n(4) Prepare and distribute factors, calculations or formulas pertaining to classification, territory, increased limits, and other variables;\n\n(5) Prepare and distribute manuals of rating rules and rating schedules that do not include final rates, expenses provisions, profit provisions, or minimum premiums;\n\n(6) Distribute information that is required or directed to be filed with the commissioner;\n\n(7) Conduct research and on-site inspections in order to prepare classifications of public fire defenses;\n\n(8) Consult with public officials regarding public fire protection as it would affect members, subscribers, and others;\n\n(9) Conduct research and collect statistics in order to discover, identify, and classify information relating to causes or prevention of losses;\n\n(10) Prepare policy forms and endorsements and consult with members, subscribers, and others relative to their use and application;\n\n(11) Conduct research and on-site inspections for the purpose of providing risk information relating to individual structures;\n\n(12) Collect, compile, and distribute past and current prices of individual insurers and publish that information;\n\n(13) File final rates, at the direction of the commissioner, for residual market mechanisms; and\n\n(14) Furnish any other services, as approved or directed by the commissioner, related to those enumerated in this section.","path":["Hawaii Code","Division 2","Title 24","Chapter 431"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol09_Ch0431-0435H/HRS0431/HRS_0431-0014-0107_0001.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"ca28b81d79eb3ca72efb35a5aab95c1a3c1843b4f3004c3d48cc59902b8dcd95","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-431-14-107","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-431-14-107.2"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
