Stat. § 431:14-112","heading":"Joint underwriting or joint reinsurance.","body":"(a) Every group, association, or other organization of insurers which engages in joint underwriting or joint reinsurance, shall be subject to regulation as provided below, subject:\n\n(1) With respect to joint underwriting, to all other provisions of this article, and\n\n(2) With respect to joint reinsurance, to section 431:14-113, section 431:14-117 and section 431:14-118.\n\n(b) If, after a hearing, the commissioner finds that any activity or practice of any such group, association or other organization is unfair or unreasonable or otherwise inconsistent with this article, the commissioner may issue a written order specifying in what respects the activity or practice is unfair or unreasonable or otherwise inconsistent with this article, and requiring the discontinuance of such activity or practice.","path":["Hawaii Code","Division 2","Title 24","Chapter 431"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol09_Ch0431-0435H/HRS0431/HRS_0431-0014-0112.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"7d71aa4ca37ef385a7e3849e6cc8de6eaf418442574387f0088cd35382edd424","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-431-14-111","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-431-14-113"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
