Stat. § 431:8-320","heading":"Penalties.","body":"(a) Any surplus lines broker who in this State represents or aids an unauthorized insurer in violation of this article may be fined not more than $1,000.\n\n(b) In addition to any other penalty provided for in this part or otherwise provided by law, including any suspension, revocation or refusal to renew a license, any person, firm, association or corporation violating any provisions of this article shall be liable to a penalty not exceeding $1,000 for the first offense, and not exceeding $2,000 for each succeeding offense.\n\n(c) The above penalties are not exclusive remedies, penalties may also be assessed under article 13.","path":["Hawaii Code","Division 2","Title 24","Chapter 431"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol09_Ch0431-0435H/HRS0431/HRS_0431-0008-0320.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"00ed6338701682f7a32ea7a28e1c0fb59c4a4a8c8cfd3786d955da72459825e7","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-431-8-319","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-431-8-321"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
