Stat. § 431:9A-157","heading":"Tuition.","body":"(a) The following are requirements that providers shall follow:\n\n(1) Tuition fees for courses shall be reasonable and clearly identified;\n\n(2) If the course is canceled for any reason, all fees shall be refunded in full unless the enrollment application contains a refund policy clause that expressly states otherwise. If the fees are refundable, the continuing education course provider shall refund the fees within forty-five days after the cancellation;\n\n(3) In the event a course is postponed for any reason, a licensee shall be given the choice of attending the course at a later date or having the fee refunded in full. If a licensee chooses not to attend a postponed course, the continuing education course provider shall refund the fees within forty-five days after the postponement; and\n\n(4) A provider may have a refund policy that addresses a licensee's cancellation or failure to complete a course, so long as that policy is clear to the licensee and in compliance with this section.\n\n(b) A continuing education course provider may offer a continuing education course free of tuition.","path":["Hawaii Code","Division 2","Title 24","Chapter 431"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol09_Ch0431-0435H/HRS0431/HRS_0431-0009A-0157.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"25b246be60a80ab9bb7a2bc94dea0011e1804c63a20fdbfa5bf903833ab47fb5","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-431-9a-156","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-431-9a-158"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
