Stat. § 436E-7","heading":"Powers and duties of the board.","body":"In addition to any other powers and duties authorized by law, the board shall:\n\n(1) Adopt rules in accordance with chapter 91 to carry out the purposes of this chapter, with special emphasis on the health and safety of the public;\n\n(2) Develop standards for licensure;\n\n(3) Prepare, administer, and grade examinations, provided that the board may contract with a testing agency to provide those services;\n\n(4) Issue, renew, suspend, and revoke licenses;\n\n(5) Register applicants or holders of a license;\n\n(6) Investigate and conduct hearings regarding any violation of this chapter and any rules of the board;\n\n(7) Maintain a record of its proceedings; and\n\n(8) Do all things necessary to carry out the functions, powers, and duties set forth in the chapter.","path":["HI Code","Division 2","Title 25","Chapter 436E"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol10_Ch0436-0474/HRS0436E/HRS_0436E-0007.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"ea272feffc17698bbacd1833999111735d985283aff0c59aea56c0c016ea7cdc","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-436e-6","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-436e-8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
