Stat. § 443B-4.58","heading":"Biennial renewal requirement.","body":"(a) Each collection agency shall renew its registration by June 30 of each even-numbered year.\n\n(b) When renewing its registration, an agency shall submit to the director the following:\n\n(1) An application on a form prescribed by the director;\n\n(2) Satisfactory evidence that the collection agency is bonded as required by section 443B-5;\n\n(3) A certificate of good standing or a certificate of authority issued by the business registration division, if the applicant is a corporation, partnership, or joint venture;\n\n(4) The name and business address of the applicant's principal collector who is authorized to directly manage and control the daily operations of the applicant's Hawaii office; and\n\n(5) A renewal fee in the amount specified by rule.\n\n(c) Failure on the part of a collection agency to renew its registration as provided in subsection (a) shall cause the registration to be forfeited; provided that the director may make an exception for good cause shown.","path":["HI Code","Division 2","Title 25","Chapter 443B"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol10_Ch0436-0474/HRS0443B/HRS_0443B-0004_0005_0008.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"ce3b42f220e5286f3699a79e8dac0e8415c0c306a5c0fd47cc7c99b34a44e4d3","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-443b-4.57","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-443b-4.59"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
