Stat. § 448B-3","heading":"Powers and duties of the director.","body":"In addition to any other powers and duties authorized by law, the director shall have the following powers and duties:\n\n(1) Examine and approve the qualifications of all applicants under this chapter and issue a license to each successful applicant granting permission to use the title of \"licensed dietitian\" or \"dietitian\" in this State pursuant to this chapter and the rules adopted pursuant thereto;\n\n(2) Adopt, amend, or repeal rules pursuant to chapter 91 as the director finds necessary to carry out this chapter;\n\n(3) Administer, coordinate, and enforce this chapter and rules adopted pursuant thereto;\n\n(4) Discipline a licensed dietitian for any cause described by this chapter or for any violation of the rules, and refuse to license a person for failure to meet licensure requirements or for any cause that would be grounds for disciplining a licensed dietitian; and\n\n(5) Appoint an advisory committee consisting of licensed dietitians to assist with the implementation of this chapter and the rules adopted pursuant thereto.","path":["HI Code","Division 2","Title 25","Chapter 448B"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol10_Ch0436-0474/HRS0448B/HRS_0448B-0003.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"d26def0ea05feadcfa889535f673b0499d24bbae1b3dcdf8257a2096de119f0b","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-448b-2","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-448b-4"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
