Stat. § 453-32.51","heading":"Limited provisional licensure.","body":"(a) The Hawaii medical board shall approve limited provisional licensure of an applicant under this section if the applicant:\n\n(1) Has graduated from a board or state-approved training program as developed and promulgated by the United States Department of Transportation, if required for the applicable level of practice;\n\n(2) Has passed the written and practical examinations of the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians for that level of practice;\n\n(3) Holds a current certificate from the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technicians for that level of practice;\n\n(4) Has submitted a letter verifying acceptance into a period of peer review as an emergency medical technician, advanced emergency medical technician, mobile intensive care technician, or paramedic;\n\n(5) Has filed a completed application with the board; and\n\n(6) Has paid all the required fees.\n\n(b) Limited licensure of any applicant shall be restricted to a maximum of one year.\n\n(c) All privileges under this section shall automatically cease if the applicant receives licensure under section 453-32 or 453-32.1 or is no longer participating in a period of peer review.","path":["HI Code","Division 2","Title 25","Chapter 453"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol10_Ch0436-0474/HRS0453/HRS_0453-0032_0005_0001.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"a7246568aaaf5a4c388c03ffaf391eefa4af46f5562e10296528291f63f9fa7d","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-453-32.5","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-453-32.6"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
