Stat. § 453-5.5","heading":"Physician assistant; authority to sign documents.","body":"Any physician assistant who holds a current, valid, and permanent license to practice medicine pursuant to this chapter, and who is under the supervision of a licensed physician or osteopathic physician, shall have the authority to sign the following documents:\n\n(1) Certification of psychiatric medical condition of the parents of a child applicant for aid from the temporary assistance for needy families program;\n\n(2) Evaluation forms for Hansen's disease patients;\n\n(3) Orders for physical therapy and plans of care;\n\n(4) Pharmacist orders to assist in monitoring and management of anticoagulation anemia and atrial fibrillation;\n\n(5) Orders for speech therapy and plans of care;\n\n(6) Applications for bracelets indicating compassionate care only;\n\n(7) Admissions applications for foster homes;\n\n(8) Dietary consultations forms;\n\n(9) Medicaid application forms for nursing care facility admission;\n\n(10) Orders for occupational therapy and plans of care; and\n\n(11) Orders for respiratory therapy and plans of care.","path":["HI Code","Division 2","Title 25","Chapter 453"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol10_Ch0436-0474/HRS0453/HRS_0453-0005_0005.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"2f6a58a29a17cb1931472e7eaa3cee2d61dc70f535ea7dd97f3e9ffff969bf9a","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-453-5.4","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-453-52"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
