Stat. § 454M-12","heading":"[ §454M-12] Change in control of a licensee; fees.","body":"[ §454M-12] Change in control of a licensee; fees. (a) A licensee shall submit to the commissioner an application requesting approval of a proposed change of control of the licensee, accompanied by a nonrefundable application fee of $500, payable to the division.\n\n(b) The commissioner shall approve an application requesting approval of a proposed change of control under subsection (a) if, after investigation, the commissioner determines that:\n\n(1) The person or group of persons who will obtain control will be in compliance with this chapter upon approval of the application ;\n\n(2) The person or group of persons who will obtain control has the competence, experience, character, and general fitness to control the licensee or person in control of the licensee in a lawful and proper manner; and\n\n(3) The interests of the public will not be jeopardized by the change of control.","path":["HI Code","Division 2","Title 25","Chapter 454M"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol10_Ch0436-0474/HRS0454M/HRS_0454M-0012.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"36a718b22e2bf5f8b53ab3832858a874efa9717b93d1464ac372b0f373c02029","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-454m-11","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-454m-13"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
