Stat. § 467E-13","heading":"Prohibited acts; penalties.","body":"(a) No person shall:\n\n(1) Use in connection with the person's name any designation tending to imply that the person is a social worker, licensed bachelor social worker, licensed social worker, or licensed clinical social worker unless the person is duly licensed and authorized under this chapter;\n\n(2) Represent oneself as a social worker, licensed bachelor social worker, licensed social worker, or licensed clinical social worker during the time the person's license issued under this chapter is forfeited, terminated, suspended, or revoked;\n\n(3) Perform clinical diagnosis or psychotherapy unless the person is a licensed clinical social worker; or\n\n(4) Engage in autonomous and independent clinical social work practice without being licensed as a licensed clinical social worker.\n\n(b) Any person who violates this section shall be subject to a fine of not more than $1,000 and each day's violation shall be deemed a separate offense.","path":["HI Code","Division 2","Title 25","Chapter 467E"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol10_Ch0436-0474/HRS0467E/HRS_0467E-0013.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"58e05d9e2fa00c72c1f617dcad07a6406e51ab8e777d9ffe4b9f6cfd034abda2","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-467e-12.5","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-467e-14"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
