Stat. § 501-268","heading":"Legal incidents of deregistered land.","body":"Nothing in this part shall in any way be construed to relieve deregistered land or the owners of deregistered land from:\n\n(1) Any rights incident to the relation of husband and wife;\n\n(2) Liability to attachment or mesne process or levy on execution;\n\n(3) Liability to any lien of any description established by law on the deregistered land, or in the interest of the owner in the deregistered land;\n\n(4) The right to change the laws of descent;\n\n(5) The rights of partition between coparceners and other cotenants;\n\n(6) The right to take the same by eminent domain;\n\n(7) Liability to be recovered by a trustee in bankruptcy under the provisions of law relating to preferences;\n\n(8) Any other rights or liabilities created by law and applicable to the owner of a condominium apartment that is part of a condominium property regime established on registered land and which is not used in a time share plan, except as otherwise expressly provided in this part; or\n\n(9) Any other rights or liabilities created by law and applicable to the deregistered land, except as otherwise expressly provided [in] this part.","path":["HI Code","Division 3","Title 28","Chapter 501"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol12_Ch0501-0588/HRS0501/HRS_0501-0268.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"3820b8fa9dd57611d4944857baf49352bc71682ed88d67a8735479d2e10f00f1","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-501-267","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-501-269"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
