Stat. § 560:1-311","heading":"Documents sealed upon filing.","body":"In any action or proceeding under this chapter in the circuit court having jurisdiction in matters relating to the affairs of decedents, the following documents shall be sealed upon filing:\n\n(1) Birth certificate;\n\n(2) Marriage certificate;\n\n(3) Death certificate;\n\n(4) Tax return;\n\n(5) Kokua kanawai's report;\n\n(6) Court-ordered professional evaluation; and\n\n(7) Responses and objections to a kokua kanawai's report or a professional evaluation.\n\nThe foregoing documents shall remain sealed unless otherwise ordered by the court; provided that the clerk, without further court order, may unseal and provide a copy of a report or evaluation pursuant to section 560:5-307 or 560:5-407.","path":["Hawaii Code","Division 3","Title 30A","Chapter 560"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol12_Ch0501-0588/HRS0560/HRS_0560-0001-0311.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"7a1a68f839524108c2e03c7c3d06ffda2bd9b0b223ce71102b5496a076fe4425","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-560-1-310","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-560-1-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
