Stat. § 576B-506","heading":"Contest by obligor.","body":"(a) An obligor may contest the validity or enforcement of an income withholding order issued in another state and received directly by an employer in this State by registering the order in a tribunal of this State and filing a contest to that order as provided in Article 6, or otherwise contesting the order in the same manner as if the order had been issued by a tribunal of this State.\n\n(b) The obligor shall give notice of the contest to:\n\n(1) A support enforcement agency providing services to the obligee;\n\n(2) Each employer that has directly received an income withholding order relating to the obligor; and\n\n(3) The person designated to receive payments in the income withholding order or, if no person is designated, to the obligee.","path":["HI Code","Division 3","Title 31","Chapter 576B"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol12_Ch0501-0588/HRS0576B/HRS_0576B-0506.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"ec2cd21b97796676b643d3525739bfbf1bad15c900f9063f5ded5afedc53dde0","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-576b-505","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-576b-507"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
