Stat. § 602-57","heading":"Jurisdiction.","body":"Notwithstanding any other law to the contrary, the intermediate appellate court shall have jurisdiction, subject to transfer as provided in section 602-58 or review on application for a writ of certiorari as provided in section 602-59:\n\n(1) To hear and determine appeals from any court or agency when appeals are allowed by law;\n\n(2) To entertain, in its discretion, any case submitted without suit when there is a question of law that could be the subject of a civil action or proceeding in the circuit court, or tax appeal court, and the parties agree upon the facts upon which the controversy depends; and\n\n(3) To make or issue any order or writ necessary or appropriate in the aid of its jurisdiction, and in such case, any judge may issue a writ or an order to show cause returnable before the court.","path":["HI Code","Division 4","Title 32","Chapter 602"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol13_Ch0601-0676/HRS0602/HRS_0602-0057.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"638847defe6087c0aee1a78ad61461df0905d206797c6be301ba816542eee168","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-602-56","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-602-58"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
