Stat. § 658H-7","heading":"Prohibited mediator reports.","body":"(a) Except as agreed to in writing by the parties or as permitted in subsection (b), a mediator shall not make a report, assessment, evaluation, recommendation, finding, or other communication regarding a mediation to a court, administrative agency, or other authority that may make a ruling on the dispute that is the subject of the mediation.\n\n(b) A mediator may disclose:\n\n(1) Whether a mediation occurred or has terminated, whether a settlement was reached, and attendance at the mediation;\n\n(2) Mediation communication as permitted under section 658H-6; or\n\n(3) A mediation communication evidencing abuse, neglect, abandonment, or exploitation of an individual to a public agency responsible for protecting individuals against such mistreatment, except as prohibited under section 658H-6(a)(7).\n\n(c) A report, assessment, evaluation, recommendation, finding, or other communication made in violation of subsection (a) shall not be considered by a court, administrative agency, or arbitrator.","path":["HI Code","Division 4","Title 36","Chapter 658H"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol13_Ch0601-0676/HRS0658H/HRS_0658H-0007.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"931d64dc8a0d3ff023305551e09edcc6e39ae0b819327a70e2e6d0aaef0ea633","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-658h-6","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-658h-8"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
