Stat. § 712-1242","heading":"Promoting a dangerous drug in the second degree.","body":"(1) A person commits the offense of promoting a dangerous drug in the second degree if the person knowingly:\n\n(a) Possesses twenty-five or more capsules, tablets, ampules, dosage units, or syrettes, containing one or more dangerous drugs;\n\n(b) Possesses one or more preparations, compounds, mixtures, or substances of an aggregate weight of:\n\n(i) One-eighth ounce or more, containing methamphetamine, heroin, morphine, fentanyl, or cocaine or any of their respective salts, isomers, and salts of isomers; or\n\n(ii) One-fourth ounce or more, containing any dangerous drug; or\n\n(c) Distributes any dangerous drug in any amount.\n\n(2) Promoting a dangerous drug in the second degree is a class B felony.","path":["HI Code","Division 5","Title 37","Chapter 712"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol14_Ch0701-0853/HRS0712/HRS_0712-1242.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"99e466c01cb48b0a3b64054fda02ce31eaa07687a7541b37a492cc9afc368643","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-712-1241","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-712-1243"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
