Stat. § 92-6","heading":"Judicial branch, quasi-judicial boards and investigatory functions; applicability.","body":"(a) This part shall not apply:\n\n(1) To the judicial branch.\n\n(2) To adjudicatory functions exercised by a board and governed by sections 91-8 and 91-9, or authorized by other sections of the Hawaii Revised Statutes. In the application of this subsection, boards exercising adjudicatory functions include, but are not limited to, the following:\n\n(A) Hawaii labor relations board, chapters 89 and 377;\n\n(B) Labor and industrial relations appeals board, chapter 371;\n\n(C) Hawaii paroling authority, chapter 353;\n\n(D) Civil service commission, chapter 26;\n\n(E) Board of trustees, employees' retirement system of the State of Hawaii, chapter 88;\n\n(F) Crime victim compensation commission, chapter 351; and\n\n(G) State ethics commission, chapter 84.\n\n(b) Notwithstanding provisions in this section to the contrary, this part shall apply to require open deliberation of the adjudicatory functions of the land use commission.","path":["HI Code","Division 1","Title 8","Chapter 92"],"source_url":"http://www.capitol.hawaii.gov/hrscurrent/Vol02_Ch0046-0115/HRS0092/HRS_0092-0006.htm","current_through":"2026-08-14","vintage":"open-us-law v2026.08, retrieved 2026-09-14","retrieved_at":"2026-09-14T18:32:11Z","sha256":"5a98d75f9fe0331d0214bc32d3c4b49b1e1a877cc0e66493f660ceeb45ae8a8d","source_id":"us-hi","stale":false,"prev":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-92-5","next":"us-hi/haw.-rev.-stat.-92-7"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
