In addition to requirements adopted by rule by the board, in order to obtain a license as a dental hygienist, an applicant shall present evidence to the board of both of the following:\na. That the applicant possesses a degree or certificate of graduation from a college, university, or institution of higher education, accredited by a national agency recognized by the council on higher education accreditation or the United States department of education, in a program of dental hygiene with a minimum of two academic years of curriculum.\nb. That the applicant possesses a valid certificate in a nationally recognized course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.\n2.
