{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-10-1403","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 10-1403","heading":"Applicability.","body":"(1) Except as otherwise provided in subsection (2) of this section, this chapter applies to a foreign country judgment to the extent that the judgment:\n(a) Grants or denies recovery of a sum of money; and\n(b) Under the law of the foreign country where rendered, is final, conclusive and enforceable.\n(2) This chapter does not apply to a foreign country judgment, even if the judgment grants or denies recovery of a sum of money, to the extent that the judgment is:\n(a) A judgment for taxes;\n(b) A fine or other penalty; or\n(c) A judgment for divorce, support, or maintenance, or other judgment rendered in connection with domestic relations.\n(3) A party seeking recognition of a foreign country judgment has the burden of establishing that this chapter applies to the foreign country judgment.","path":["TITLE 10 ISSUES, TRIAL AND JUDGMENT IN CIVIL ACTIONS","CHAPTER 14 UNIFORM FOREIGN COUNTRY MONEY JUDGMENTS RECOGNITION ACT"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title10/t10ch14/sect10-1403/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:16:34Z","sha256":"0f6face8a544902a7471945a9821db481c7caca517ceaae2e09390d6127d8837","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-10-1402","next":"us-id/idaho-code-10-1404"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
