{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-14-5-705","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 14-5-705","heading":"MILITARY MEDAL OR DECORATION.","body":"(1) The administrator may not sell a medal or decoration awarded for military service in the armed forces of the United States.\n(2) The administrator, with such organization’s, agency’s, or entity’s consent, may deliver a medal or decoration described in subsection (1) of this section, to be held in custody for the owner, to:\n(a) A military veterans organization qualified under the Internal Revenue Code, as amended, 26 U.S.C. 501(c)(19);\n(b) The agency that awarded the medal or decoration; or\n(c) A governmental entity.\n(3) Upon delivery under subsection (2) of this section, the administrator is not responsible for safekeeping the medal or decoration.","path":["TITLE 14 ESTATES OF DECEDENTS","CHAPTER 5 REVISED UNCLAIMED PROPERTY ACT","PART 7 SALE OF PROPERTY BY ADMINISTRATOR"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title14/t14ch5/sect14-5-705/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T13:29:54Z","sha256":"9c6d29d5c4b4330d2f71aaa5a46476f109f90927a9f8ad214d1618a587a39f89","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-14-5-704","next":"us-id/idaho-code-14-5-801"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
