{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-16-101","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 16-101","heading":"Legislative findings.","body":"The legislature finds that there is an urgent and substantial need:\n(1) To enhance the development of all infants and toddlers with disabilities in the state of Idaho in order to minimize developmental delay, and to maximize individual potential for adult independence;\n(2) To enhance the capacity of families to meet the special needs of their infants and toddlers with disabilities;\n(3) To reduce the educational costs by minimizing the need for special education and related services after infants and toddlers with disabilities reach school age;\n(4) To reduce social services costs and to minimize the likelihood of institutionalization of individuals with disabilities;\n(5) To reduce the health costs of preventable secondary impairments and disabilities by screening and monitoring children at risk and improving the long term health of infants and toddlers with disabilities; and\n(6) To comply with federal law as it pertains to services for infants and toddlers with disabilities and their families.","path":["TITLE 16 JUVENILE PROCEEDINGS","CHAPTER 1 EARLY INTERVENTION SERVICES"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title16/t16ch1/sect16-101/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:16:47Z","sha256":"e43fb6adfadc2b54bc85e0b817391451054370b785b384b1e7f33471f27a2f8d","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-15-15-110","next":"us-id/idaho-code-16-102"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
