{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-18-8504","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 18-8504","heading":"Recruiting criminal gang members.","body":"(1) A person commits the offense of recruiting criminal gang members by:\n(a) Knowingly soliciting, inviting, encouraging or otherwise causing a person to actively participate in a criminal gang; or\n(b) Knowingly using force, threats, violence or intimidation directed at any person, or by the infliction of bodily injury upon any person, to actively participate in a criminal gang.\n(2) A person convicted of a violation of this section shall be imprisoned for a term not to exceed ten (10) years.\n(3) This section shall not be construed to limit prosecution under any other provision of law.","path":["TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS","CHAPTER 85 IDAHO CRIMINAL GANG ENFORCEMENT ACT"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title18/t18ch85/sect18-8504/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:17:07Z","sha256":"b698d901647c54b5d8936a49812ff1ea52807e6b4026e608ab33f8d3b1403442","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-18-8503","next":"us-id/idaho-code-18-8505"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
