{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-18-8607","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 18-8607","heading":"Human sex trafficking.","body":"A person commits the felony of human sex trafficking if the person knowingly:\n(1) Traffics another person and causes or attempts to cause, through force, fraud, or coercion, the trafficked person to engage in or become the victim of:\n(a) Commercial sexual activity;\n(b) A sexually explicit performance; or\n(c) Conduct prohibited by:\n(i) Section 18-5602 (procurement);\n(ii) Section 18-5603 (receiving pay for procurement);\n(iii) Section 18-5604 (paying for procurement);\n(iv) Section 18-5605 (detention for commercial sexual activity);\n(v) Section 18-5606 (receiving proceeds of illegal sexual activity);\n(vi) Section 18-5608 (place of commercial sexual activity);\n(vii) Section 18-5609 (inducing a child into commercial sexual activity);\n(viii) Section 18-5610 (utilizing a child for commercial sexual activity);\n(ix) Section 18-5611 (inducing a child to engage in commercial sexual activity);\n(x) Section 18-5613 (providing commercial sexual activity); or\n(xi) Section 18-5614 (soliciting commercial sexual activity);\n(2) Engages in sexual contact with a person being trafficked in the manner described in subsection (1) of this section; or\n(3) Receives any benefit from participating in a venture that involves an activity described in subsection (1) of this section.","path":["TITLE 18 CRIMES AND PUNISHMENTS","CHAPTER 86 HUMAN TRAFFICKING"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title18/t18ch86/sect18-8607/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T13:33:29Z","sha256":"9cf0ca8104d81a63d9caaca8080f936833a4526e7decf6b83ceb958f7271149e","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-18-8606","next":"us-id/idaho-code-18-8608"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
