{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-19-401","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 19-401","heading":"No statute of limitations for certain felonies.","body":"Notwithstanding any other provision of law, there is no limitation of time within which a prosecution for the following crimes must be commenced:\n(1) Murder;\n(2) Voluntary manslaughter;\n(3) Rape pursuant to section 18-6101(3) through (10), Idaho Code;\n(4) Sexual abuse of a child, lewd conduct with a child, or aggravated lewd conduct with a child as set forth in sections 18-1506, 18-1508, 18-1508B, and 18-1508C, Idaho Code;\n(5) Producing or making sexually exploitative material as set forth in section 18-1507(2)(b), Idaho Code; or\n(6) An act of terrorism as set forth in sections 18-8102, 18-8103, 18-3322, 18-3323 and 18-3324, Idaho Code.","path":["TITLE 19 CRIMINAL PROCEDURE","CHAPTER 4 TIME OF COMMENCING CRIMINAL ACTIONS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title19/t19ch4/sect19-401/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:17:08Z","sha256":"889ffb4a6cc1ddb2429b538151ca00e388f702b3e6b2190759c579e32b180e2c","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-19-316","next":"us-id/idaho-code-19-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
