{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-23-512","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 23-512","heading":"Sales for medical or scientific purposes.","body":"Under such rules and regulations as the division may adopt, it has authority to make sales of alcoholic liquor and ethyl alcohol from the division only:\n(a) To a registered pharmacist operating a drug store, for scientific and mechanical purposes and for compounding and preparing medicines.\n(b) To a licensed physician, dentist, or veterinarian or other licensed practitioner entitled to prescribe for healing purposes, for administering medicinally and in compounding prescriptions.\n(c) To a person in charge of a regularly conducted hospital or sanitorium for administering to the sick and aged.\n(d) To a person in charge of a laboratory for use in scientific pursuits and experiments.\n(e) For other purposes, similar to those mentioned in this section and not specifically covered by this act.","path":["TITLE 23 ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES","CHAPTER 5 PERMITS AND LICENSES"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title23/t23ch5/sect23-512/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:17:44Z","sha256":"8c5cb68f66588b114e58f5fa469c2dca4635ac6a328b58435bb7c34d6ab71644","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-23-510","next":"us-id/idaho-code-23-513"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
