{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-28-2-103","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 28-2-103","heading":"Definitions and index of definitions.","body":"(1) In this chapter unless the context otherwise requires:\n(a) \"Buyer\" means a person who buys or contracts to buy goods.\n(b) \"Good faith\" in the case of a merchant means honesty in fact and the observance of reasonable commercial standards of fair dealing in the trade.\n(c) \"Receipt\" of goods means taking physical possession of them.\n(d) \"Seller\" means a person who sells or contracts to sell goods.\n(2) Other definitions applying to this chapter or to specified parts thereof, and the sections in which they appear are:\n\"Acceptance.\" Section 28-2-606.\n\"Banker’s credit.\" Section 28-2-325.\n\"Between merchants.\" Section 28-2-104.\n\"Cancellation.\" Section 28-2-106.\n\"Commercial unit.\" Section 28-2-105.\n\"Confirmed credit.\" Section 28-2-325.\n\"Conforming to contract.\" Section 28-2-106.\n\"Contract for sale.\" Section 28-2-106.\n\"Cover.\" Section 28-2-712.\n\"Entrusting.\" Section 28-2-403.\n\"Financing agency.\" Section 28-2-104.\n\"Future goods.\" Section 28-2-105.\n\"Goods.\" Section 28-2-105.\n\"Identification.\" Section 28-2-501.\n\"Installment contract.\" Section 28-2-612.\n\"Letter of credit.\" Section 28-2-325.\n\"Lot.\" Section 28-2-105.\n\"Merchant.\" Section 28-2-104.\n\"Overseas.\" Section 28-2-323.\n\"Person in position of seller.\" Section 28-2-707.\n\"Present sale.\" Section 28-2-106.\n\"Sale.\" Section 28-2-106.\n\"Sale on approval.\" Section 28-2-326.\n\"Sale or return.\" Section 28-2-326.\n\"Termination.\" Section 28-2-106.\n(3) \"Control\" as provided in section 28-7-106 and the following definitions in other chapters apply to this chapter:\n\"Check.\" Section 28-3-104.\n\"Consignee.\" Section 28-7-102.\n\"Consignor.\" Section 28-7-102.\n\"Consumer goods.\" Section 28-9-102.\n\"Dishonor.\" Section 28-3-502.\n\"Draft.\" Section 28-3-104.\n(4) In addition, chapter 1, title 28, Idaho Code, contains general definitions and principles of construction and interpretation applicable throughout this chapter.","path":["TITLE 28 COMMERCIAL TRANSACTIONS","CHAPTER 2 UNIFORM COMMERCIAL CODE — SALES","PART 1.
