{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-30-24-301","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 30-24-301","heading":"BECOMING LIMITED PARTNER.","body":"(a) Upon formation of a limited partnership, a person becomes a limited partner as agreed among the persons that are to be the initial partners.\n(b) After formation, a person becomes a limited partner:\n(1) As provided in the partnership agreement;\n(2) As the result of a transaction effective under chapter 22, title 30, Idaho Code;\n(3) With the affirmative vote or consent of all the partners; or\n(4) As provided in section 30-24-801(a)(4) or (5), Idaho Code.\n(c) A person may become a limited partner without:\n(1) Acquiring a transferable interest; or\n(2) Making or being obligated to make a contribution to the limited partnership.","path":["TITLE 30 CORPORATIONS","CHAPTER 24 LIMITED PARTNERSHIPS","PART 3 LIMITED PARTNERS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title30/t30ch24/sect30-24-301/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:18:36Z","sha256":"f120947eb3e597c365362263acada2ef16403eb6ea8087eb90895c47c0ae5e94","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-30-24-204","next":"us-id/idaho-code-30-24-302"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
