{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-30-24-401","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 30-24-401","heading":"BECOMING GENERAL PARTNER.","body":"(a) Upon formation of a limited partnership, a person becomes a general partner as agreed among the persons that are to be the initial partners.\n(b) After formation of a limited partnership, a person becomes a general partner:\n(1) As provided in the partnership agreement;\n(2) As the result of a transaction effective under chapter 22, title 30, Idaho Code;\n(3) With the affirmative vote or consent of all the partners: or\n(4) Under section 30-24-801(a)(3)(B), Idaho Code, following the dissociation of a limited partnership’s last general partner.\n(c) A person may become a general partner without:\n[(1)](a) Acquiring a transferable interest; or\n[(2)](b) Making or being obligated to make a contribution to the partnership.","path":["TITLE 30 CORPORATIONS","CHAPTER 24 LIMITED PARTNERSHIPS","PART 4 GENERAL PARTNERS"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title30/t30ch24/sect30-24-401/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:18:36Z","sha256":"5bb6f35c56c17db8338b5fc301f1c755650309884833e1bb1767ee467fdd27ab","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-30-24-306","next":"us-id/idaho-code-30-24-402"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
