{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-33-5902","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 33-5902","heading":"legislative intent.","body":"It is the intent of the legislature that the purpose of this chapter is to:\n(1) Promote the safety and security of the students attending the public educational institutions of the state;\n(2) Provide recommendations, systems and training to assist public educational institutions at all levels for the safety and security of students;\n(3) Enhance the safety and security resources available to public educational institutions;\n(4) Ensure that periodic security assessments of statewide public educational institutions are conducted and reported;\n(5) Ensure that surveys are conducted and research information is reported to appropriate parties;\n(6) Promote the use of technical methods, devices and improvements to address school security;\n(7) Encourage the recognition of security design to be incorporated in future construction or renovation of public educational institutions; and\n(8) Provide written reports of security assessments to appropriate school administrative authorities.","path":["TITLE 33 EDUCATION","CHAPTER 59 IDAHO SCHOOL SAFETY AND SECURITY ACT"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title33/t33ch59/sect33-5902/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:19:31Z","sha256":"d4a2ceef485eb9c75aee97b713ca1cf2646d8083a354aa7663f3c397ecdab2fc","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-33-5901","next":"us-id/idaho-code-33-5903"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
