{"data":{"id":"us-id/idaho-code-34-626","jurisdiction":"us-id","citation":"Idaho Code § 34-626","heading":"Petition in lieu of filing fee.","body":"In lieu of paying the filing fee, candidates may qualify for the offices mentioned in section 34-604 through section 34-623, Idaho Code, by filing a declaration of candidacy and a nominating petition. The petition shall contain the signatures of qualified electors as follows:\n(a) One thousand (1,000) for any statewide office;\n(b) Five hundred (500) for any congressional district office (all signatures within proper district);\n(c) Two hundred (200) for the office of district judge (all signatures within proper district);\n(d) Fifty (50) for any legislative district office (all signatures within proper district);\n(e) Five (5) for any county office (county commissioner signatures shall be within commissioner district).\nSignatures on such nominating petitions shall be verified in the manner prescribed in section 34-1807, Idaho Code.","path":["TITLE 34 ELECTIONS","CHAPTER 6 TIME OF ELECTIONS — OFFICERS ELECTED"],"source_url":"https://legislature.idaho.gov/statutesrules/idstat/title34/t34ch6/sect34-626/","current_through":"2026 Legislative Session","vintage":"","retrieved_at":"2026-09-04T11:19:34Z","sha256":"0b02c1b3fd4422453763aab5d91119c91ade6559081e5e8969e306a6c4a6e275","source_id":"us-id","stale":false,"prev":"us-id/idaho-code-34-625a","next":"us-id/idaho-code-34-627"},"notice":"GroundRules: Original legal text.
